Day 26
I had a bunch of boxes in the back of my truck on the way home last night -- and one started flopping around. I stopped on the busiest hwy in our area and fixed the boxes in the back -- and decided while I was out there with cars whizzing by at 70mph, I'd take a photo of the cows on the other side of the highway.
It's these cows, and others along the highway that answer the question --- how can you tell when you're near Nuevo -- yep, you can smell the dairy cows!
I don't even notice it anymore, but I know the 'scent' is pretty strong to newcomers.

Ooh, love the pink mountain in the background. Pretty!

Don't think I've ever seen a mountain quite like that - and not sure I'd have known what it was withoug Bettye's comment. Pink's the color of the day :)

Cool photo and I love the mountain colors too :)

Well out here it's not a mountain -- just a hill. It's actually the other side of the hill that's in back of our place. And the pink is due to the sunset just starting. We have a road here -- Lamb's Canyon -- it's a highway from the low desert to the higher desert -- and if you drive through when the sun is setting it's downright freaky -- color just comes at you from all sides -- the sun bounces from one tall side to the other. Hard to explain, but freakey.

sounds really cool. Funny how the sun does that to colors. I was at the football game today and the football kept looking like it had been gold plated or something, very strange. . .
